Noéme Makes Official Debut with Malaysia Book of Records Cultural Showcase

KUALA LUMPUR, March 3 — Malaysian lifestyle brand Noéme marked its official debut in conjunction with a Malaysia Book of Records attempt for the Most Participants Wearing Kebaya in an Angku Kuih-Making Workshop at Quill City Mall last Saturday.
The cultural event, led by Group Kakatoo F&B and powered by Tourism Malaysia under the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign, brought together participants dressed in traditional kebaya to celebrate Malaysia’s Peranakan heritage through the making of angku kuih.
As Platinum Sponsor, Noéme aligned its brand launch with the heritage milestone, positioning itself as a contemporary Malaysian lifestyle label rooted in culture and identity. The event was officiated by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Datuk Shaharuddin Abu Sohot.

In a statement, Noéme said the brand is inspired by the meaning of “purpose” and guided by the philosophy “Not Me, But For All,” reflecting a shift from individual expression towards collective pride. The brand aims to translate shared Malaysian values into thoughtfully designed lifestyle products.
With Visit Malaysia 2026 expected to drive increased international arrivals, Noéme is positioning its products as meaningful keepsakes that reflect Malaysian identity rather than conventional souvenirs. Its modern lifestyle bags draw inspiration from cultural symbols such as the kebaya and angku kuih, balancing functionality with refined aesthetics.
The event also highlighted the enduring relevance of traditional attire, heritage crafts, and the role of Malaysian women in preserving cultural practices.
Looking ahead, Noéme aims to establish itself as an export-ready Malaysian lifestyle brand, representing the country across international markets
